Mohan Bhagwat Statement

National News: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat supported the new education policy in the centenary year program of the organization and said that there is no problem in learning English. He emphasized on building a cultured and value-based personality instead of considering education as a medium to fill information only. RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat addressed the media in a special program organized on the centenary anniversary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh in New Delhi.

The event lasted for three days, in which he put forward his views on creating a balance between education, tradition, technology and modernity. Bhagwat clearly said that technology and modernity are not opposed to education, rather the aim of education should be to improve life values along with sanskar and culture.

Education Must Build Cultured Individuals

Mohan Bhagwat said that the aim of education is not just to impart information but to make a person cultured. Referring to Panchkoshi Shiksha (five-dimensional holistic education), he said that the new education policy is a meaningful step in this direction. According to him, it is important to make a person not only knowledgeable but also valuable and characterful through education.

English Learning And NEP Vision

Speaking on English education, Bhagwat said that there is no problem in learning English, but along with it we should also carry forward our culture and tradition. He stressed that our education system should be such that it adopts modern science and technology, but should be based on the foundation of Indian values and traditions.

Indigenous and global engagement

On the second day of the program, he mentioned Swadeshi and said that its real meaning is that the nation should communicate and cooperate internationally by its own choice, and not under any pressure. Bhagwat also said that intolerance and fanaticism are increasing in today's world, where people reject opposing views.

Preparations for the centenary year

It is worth noting that on the occasion of its 100th anniversary, RSS has planned a large-scale public relations campaign across the country. During this period, more than one lakh 'Hindu Sammelans' will be organized. This will begin with Mohan Bhagwat's address at the Sangh headquarters in Nagpur on Vijayadashami (2 October) this year. The aim of this entire campaign is to spread the ideology of the Sangh to as many people as possible.
